Nepal Projects by Menu

Nepal Projects by Menu
Menu and Danida have entered a partnership to conduct development work in Nepal. This is one of the poorest countries in the world and conditions for women are among the worst in all of South-Asia. Young girls are being lured into prostitution, shipped off to India, and separated from their families. The Nepal Projects aim to provide young girls from poor families with the means to make a living through their own skills and the region’s resources. Teamed with Scandinavian designers these girls have created an exciting collection of hand woven blankets, pillows, scarves, stuffed animals, and small storage boxes. The collection is sold in selected shops, like Kollekted By, with parts of the earnings going directly to The Nepal Projects to provide young girls and women a dignified life.
We wish them good luck on this great project.
